- Posology and Administration
Posology and administration should be established individually. When there is oral treatment in adults and in children over 14 years of age, the daily dose should be 300-450 mg, if needed the daily dose may be increased up to 600-900 mg; a repetition factor is 2-3 times/a day. As tool for prevention of aggravation of diseases there is used 150 mg/daily before bedtime. Length of the therapy is determined by indications to the use. Compromised function patients should be used 75 mg each 2 twice/daily.
Intramuscularly or intravenously Ranitidine should be used 50-100 mg each every 6-8 hours.

Dermatologic reactions: loss of hair and baldness.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, hives, angioedema, allergic shock, bronchospasm, decrease of arterial tension, fever, pains in the chest.
On the part of endocrine system: severe pains in menstrual period, pains of mammary gland, delay of monthly periods, decrease of libido; seldom – reversible impotence, swelling or discomfort in breasts in men.
- Pregnancy and Lactation
To pregnant women and to nursing mothers Ranitidine, as other drugs, can be administered only in cases of extreme necessity. Its use as a prophylaxis of renewal of gastric juice in the period of labor pains takes no side effects on the course of labor, or, further on in neonatal period.
