- Indications for Use.
Disorder of peripheral circulation of various geneses: spasms of the arteries of the limbs, chronic disease of peripheral blood vessels, atherosclerosis of the arteries of the limbs, diabetic angiopathy, disease and syndrome of Reynaud. Isoxsuprine Hydrochloride improves peripheral and brain blood circulation, enhances blood supply of tissues. The drug takes positive effect on myocardium, likewise it relaxes uterine muscles. The drug lowers the tonus of smooth muscles of blood vessels of skeletal muscles and eliminates spasms (acute recoils) of vessels.
- Posology and Administration
In vessels diseases, the drug should be taken orally: 10—20 mg 3—4 times daily.
Preventive measures against miscarriage: intravenous infusion with a starting velocity of 0,2—1 mg/min, a supporting dose is 100—300 μg/min during 1—1,5 hours. Thereafter Isoxsuprine Hydrochloride is to be taken orally, 5—20 mg 4—8 times daily before childbirth.
